Description

A simple and colorful Valentine’s Day dessert made with melted chocolate and festive toppings. This chocolate bark is perfect for gifts, parties, or a quick sweet treat.

Ingredients

Chocolate Base

  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 oz white chocolate chips

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup Valentine sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup conversation heart candies

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure the melted chocolate does not stick and makes it easy to remove once set.
  2. Melt Semi-Sweet Chocolate: Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Spread Dark Chocolate: Pour and carefully spread the melted semi-sweet chocolate evenly onto the prepared parchment paper, forming a thin layer.
  4. Melt White Chocolate: In a separate bowl, melt the white chocolate chips following the same 30-second microwave interval method, stirring until smooth.
  5. Drizzle White Chocolate: Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer in an even pattern.
  6. Swirl Chocolates Together: Using a toothpick or skewer, gently swirl the white and dark chocolates together to create a marbled effect.
  7. Add Toppings: Immediately sprinkle the mini marshmallows, Valentine sprinkles, and conversation heart candies evenly over the chocolate before it sets.
  8. Refrigerate: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm and fully set.
  9. Break and Serve: Once firm, break the chocolate bark into pieces of desired size and serve or package as gifts.

Notes

  • You can substitute milk or dark chocolate for the semi-sweet chocolate if preferred.
  • Add crushed cookies or chopped nuts for extra texture and flavor.
  • Store the chocolate bark in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerated for up to one week to maintain freshness.
