Ingredients
Chicken
- 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
Sauce
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Garnish
- Sesame seeds
- Green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the cubed chicken breast until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.
- Make the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and sriracha until well combined.
- Combine and simmer: Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the cooked chicken. Stir to coat the chicken evenly.
- Thicken the sauce: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry. Add the slurry to the skillet and stir continuously. Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens and glossy.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot with steamed rice or your choice of side.
Notes
- You can adjust the sriracha amount to control the spice level.
- For a gluten-free option, substitute soy sauce with tamari.
- Ensure the cornstarch is fully dissolved in water before adding to avoid lumps.
- Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor.
- This dish pairs well with steamed broccoli or snap peas for added veggies.
