- 4 chicken breasts
Sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
Thickening Slurry
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Prepare the slow cooker: Place the 4 chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the sauce ingredients: Pour the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, and minced garlic over the chicken breasts evenly.
- Slow cook the chicken: Cover and cook on Low for 6 hours or on High for 3 hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Remove and shred chicken: Carefully take out the chicken breasts and shred them using two forks.
- Thicken the sauce: Stir together 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to make a slurry. Add this slurry to the sauce in the slow cooker and stir well to thicken, cooking for a few minutes until the sauce is glossy and thickened.
- Combine shredded chicken with sauce: Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and toss to coat thoroughly in the thickened honey garlic sauce.
