Instructions
- Heat Oil: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat to prepare for searing the meat.
- Season the Roast: Season the beef chuck roast evenly on all sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika to enhance flavor.
- Sear the Meat: Place the roast in the hot skillet and sear for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned, creating a flavorful crust.
- Prepare Vegetables: Place the potatoes, carrots, chopped onion, and minced garlic into the bottom of the slow cooker, forming a vegetable bed.
- Add Roast to Slow Cooker: Lay the seared chuck roast on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker.
- Add Liquids: Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce evenly over the roast and vegetables for moisture and flavor.
- Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low setting for 8 hours or on high setting for 5 hours until the meat is tender and easily shredded.
