Description

Shredded Chicken Parmesan Sliders are delicious mini sandwiches made with tender shredded chicken tossed in marinara sauce, layered with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, all baked inside soft slider rolls to golden perfection. These cheesy, savory sliders make for an easy party appetizer, lunch option, or family dinner that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 slider rolls
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Additional Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Rolls: Slice the slider rolls horizontally, keeping the individual rolls attached so they stay together while baking. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  3. Mix Chicken and Sauce: In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the marinara sauce until the chicken is well coated.
  4. Assemble Sliders: Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the slider rolls. Then sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the chicken layer.
  5. Add Top Buns: Place the top halves of the slider rolls over the filling to close each slider.
  6. Prepare Butter Topping: Mix melted butter with Italian seasoning and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  7. Brush Sliders: Generously brush the butter mixture over the top of the slider rolls to flavor and help with browning.
  8. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish loosely with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to heat through and melt the cheese.
  9. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the baked sliders, slice them apart, and serve warm for the best flavor.

Notes

  • Using rotisserie chicken makes this recipe quick and convenient.
  • Fresh basil can be added to the chicken mixture for a more authentic Chicken Parmesan flavor.
  • Swap slider rolls with brioche rolls for a richer, buttery taste.
  • Add red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce to introduce a spicy kick.
