Description
These refreshing strawberry popsicles are naturally sweet, fruity, and perfect for hot summer days. Made with simple ingredients like fresh strawberries, honey, and lemon juice, they offer a healthier frozen treat option that the whole family will love.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ cup water
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Hull the strawberries by removing the green leafy tops and wash them thoroughly to ensure they are clean.
- Blend Mixture: Add the fresh strawberries, honey or maple syrup, lemon juice, water, and optional vanilla extract into a blender. Blend on high speed until completely smooth to achieve a uniform texture.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste the blended mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or maple syrup if desired, blending again briefly to combine.
- Pour Into Molds: Pour the smooth strawberry mixture carefully into popsicle molds, leaving a small gap at the top to allow for expansion during freezing.
- Insert Sticks and Freeze: Place the popsicle sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours or until solid to ensure they are fully frozen and ready to eat.
- Release Popsicles: When ready to serve, run the molds briefly under warm water to loosen the popsicles, then carefully remove them from the molds.
Notes
- Add sliced strawberries to the mixture before freezing for added texture.
- If fresh strawberries are unavailable, use frozen strawberries but thaw slightly before blending.
- Replace honey with agave syrup to make the popsicles vegan-friendly.
