Description
A fun fusion dish combining juicy smash burgers with soft tortillas, creating crispy, cheesy, and flavorful party smash burger tacos perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 small flour tortillas
- 4 slices cheese
- ½ small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp burger sauce or mayo
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: lettuce, pickles
Instructions
- Divide beef: Portion the ground beef into small, equally sized portions that will fit nicely on the tortillas.
- Press onto tortillas: Flatten each portion of beef by pressing it firmly onto each small tortilla, making sure the meat covers the surface evenly.
- Heat skillet: Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat to ensure it is hot before cooking the burgers.
- Cook meat-side down: Place each tortilla on the skillet with the beef side down, cooking until the beef becomes crispy and browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip and add cheese: Carefully flip the tortilla so the cheese slice can be added on top of the cooked beef side. Cook until the cheese melts, about 2 minutes.
- Remove and assemble: Take the tortillas off the skillet and top with finely chopped onion, burger sauce or mayo, and optional toppings like lettuce or pickles.
- Fold and serve: Fold the tacos and serve immediately while warm and melty.
Notes
- Use flour tortillas for best results as they hold the beef well and stay soft.
- Add mustard or ketchup along with burger sauce for extra flavor if desired.
- Ensure skillet is properly heated to get crispy, caramelized beef edges.
- Optional toppings like pickles and lettuce add freshness and crunch.
