- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions
- Sauté Vegetables: Melt butter in a pot over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic, diced carrot, celery, and potatoes until they start to soften and the garlic is fragrant, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add Broth and Boil: Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil on high heat.
- Simmer Vegetables: Reduce heat to low and simmer the broth with the vegetables until the potatoes and other vegetables are tender, about 20 minutes.
- Add Chicken: Stir in the shredded cooked chicken, allowing it to warm through.
- Add Cream and Cheese: Lower the heat to prevent boiling, then add the cream and shredded cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese melts and the soup becomes smooth and creamy.
- Season Soup: Taste and season the soup with salt and pepper as desired.
- Serve: Serve the soup warm for a comforting meal.
Notes
- For extra richness, add cooked bacon bits when adding the chicken.
- Using sharp cheddar cheese will enhance the soup’s flavor for a stronger cheesy taste.
- To prevent curdling, avoid boiling the soup after adding dairy products like cream and cheese.
