Flavoring
- ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Garnish
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the base: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat to create a rich, flavorful base for the orzo.
- Sauté garlic: Add minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Toast the orzo: Stir in the orzo and toast it for 1 minute to enhance its nutty flavor before adding liquid.
- Add broth and simmer: Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a simmer, ensuring the orzo cooks evenly in the liquid.

- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the finished dish for a fresh pop of color and flavor, then serve warm.
