Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup oat flour
- ½ cup chocolate protein powder
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup milk of choice
Optional Glaze
- 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan to prevent sticking.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the oat flour, chocolate protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until evenly mixed.
- Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the plain Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and milk. Stir until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix to keep the donuts tender.
- Fill the donut pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut cavities, filling each about three-quarters full for proper rising during baking.
- Bake the donuts: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean.
- Cool the donuts: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before carefully removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare the optional glaze: In a small bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, and honey until smooth.
- Glaze the donuts: Spread the glaze over the cooled donuts if desired, adding a creamy chocolate finish.
