Ingredients
Steak
- 2 pounds sirloin steak, cubed
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Peanut Curry Sauce
- ½ cup natural peanut butter
- ¼ cup coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon red curry paste
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Warm water as needed to thin sauce
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, paprika, and black pepper. Add the cubed sirloin steak and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to penetrate the meat.
- Prepare the Peanut Curry Sauce: In a separate bowl, mix natural peanut butter, coconut milk, red curry paste, soy sauce, honey, and lime juice. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add warm water little by little as needed to achieve a dipping sauce consistency.
- Thread the Steak onto Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated steak cubes evenly onto the skewers.
- Grill the Skewers: Preheat the grill to high heat. Place the steak skewers on the grill and cook for 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness. Adjust time if you prefer different levels of doneness.
- Serve: Remove steak skewers from the grill and serve hot with the creamy peanut curry dipping sauce on the side. Pair with jasmine rice or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
