This quick and comforting dish combines sautéed garlic, butter, and parmesan cheese for a creamy, savory meal perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinners.
Ingredients
Pasta
- 250 g bowtie pasta
Chicken and Sauce
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season Chicken: Pat the sliced chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper evenly.
- Sauté Chicken: In a large skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken slices and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add Garlic: Once the chicken is cooked, add the minced garlic to the pan. Sauté briefly for about 30 seconds to release the aroma, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Simmer with Broth: Pour in the 1/2 cup of chicken broth and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for a few minutes to reduce slightly and meld the flavors.
- Toss Pasta and Cheese: Add the cooked bowtie pasta back into the skillet along with 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated and the cheese melts into the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve the garlic butter chicken pasta warm.
Notes
- Add cream to the sauce for a richer, creamier texture.
- Incorporate vegetables such as spinach or mushrooms to add nutrition and flavor.
- Use shredded rotisserie chicken as a shortcut to save time.
