Description
Fun and colorful marshmallow pops coated in smooth melted chocolate and decorated with sprinkles or crushed nuts. This quick and easy treat is perfect for parties, celebrations, or a delightful snack with kids.
Ingredients
Marshmallow Pops
- 12 large marshmallows
- Wooden sticks or skewers
Chocolate Coating
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
Toppings (optional)
- Sprinkles or crushed nuts
Instructions
- Prepare marshmallows: Insert a wooden stick or skewer into each marshmallow securely, leaving enough stick exposed to hold the pop easily.
- Melt chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat gently, stirring frequently until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
- Dip marshmallows: Holding the stick, dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
- Add toppings: Immediately after dipping, sprinkle your choice of sprinkles or crushed nuts over the chocolate-coated marshmallow to decorate while the chocolate is still wet.
- Set chocolate: Place the decorated pops onto a parchment paper-lined tray and allow the chocolate to firm up at room temperature or refrigerate briefly until set.
- Serve: Once the chocolate has hardened, the marshmallow pops are ready to enjoy as a festive and delicious treat.
Notes
- For variety, use colored or flavored melting chocolates.
- Store pops in the refrigerator if made in a warm environment to prevent melting.
