Description

A moist and delicious quick bread loaded with chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a tasty afternoon snack. This easy-to-make chocolate chip bread combines a tender crumb with sweet chocolatey bursts in every slice.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until silky and smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined; be careful not to overmix to keep the bread tender.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips: Gently fold the chocolate chips into the batter ensuring even distribution throughout.
  6. Pour and bake: Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top, and bake for 50–55 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with only a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool and serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use mini chocolate chips for better distribution throughout the bread.
  • Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking for a more chocolatey crust.
  • Ensure not to overmix the batter to keep the bread moist and tender.
  • Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing to avoid crumbling.
