Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan to prevent sticking.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until silky and smooth.
- Combine wet and dry: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined; be careful not to overmix to keep the bread tender.
- Fold in chocolate chips: Gently fold the chocolate chips into the batter ensuring even distribution throughout.
- Pour and bake: Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top, and bake for 50–55 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with only a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy.
Notes
- Use mini chocolate chips for better distribution throughout the bread.
- Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking for a more chocolatey crust.
- Ensure not to overmix the batter to keep the bread moist and tender.
- Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing to avoid crumbling.
