Description

A delicious homemade Chicken Crunch Wrap featuring crispy tortillas filled with seasoned chicken, melted cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, diced tomatoes, tangy sour cream, and zesty salsa, all pan-cooked to a golden crisp.

Ingredients

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Wrap

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Cooking spray or oil, as needed

Instructions

  1. Assemble the wrap: Lay one flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly layer diced cooked chicken, shredded cheddar, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and salsa onto the center of the tortilla.
  2. Fold the wrap: Carefully fold the edges of the tortilla inward to form a hexagonal or octagonal shape, enclosing the filling securely.
  3. Cook the wrap: Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly spray or brush with oil. Place the folded wrap seam side down onto the skillet. Cook until the underside is golden and crisp, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Flip and finish cooking: Carefully flip the wrap over and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese inside has melted.
  5. Serve: Remove from skillet and let rest for a minute. Cut in half if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use cooked chicken leftover or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • For extra crispiness, lightly brush the outer tortilla with oil before cooking.
  • Customize with additional ingredients like avocado, jalapeños, or beans.
  • Ensure the tortilla is folded tightly to prevent filling leakage during cooking.
  • Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
