Ingredients
Sliders
- 12 slider rolls
- 1 pound (450 g) thinly sliced beef steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Seasoning and Topping
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the assembled sliders.
- Sauté Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and green bell peppers and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Cook Steak and Garlic: Add minced garlic and thinly sliced beef steak to the skillet. Season with salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Prepare Slider Rolls: Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls. Place the bottom half in a baking dish, keeping them connected.
- Layer Cheese and Filling: Layer half of the provolone cheese slices evenly over the bottom rolls. Spread the cooked steak and vegetable mixture evenly over the provolone. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, then finish with the remaining provolone slices layered over the mozzarella.
- Complete Sliders and Brush: Place the top half of the slider rolls over the cheese and filling layers. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush this garlic butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to allow the cheeses to melt and flavors to meld.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 8 to 10 minutes until the tops of the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve the sliders warm.
Notes
- Use ribeye or sirloin steak for the most tender and flavorful filling.
- Enhance flavor by adding sautéed mushrooms or jalapeños to the filling mixture.
- Leftover sliders reheat well in the oven or air fryer for convenient next-day enjoyment.
