Description

Big Mac Tacos combine the iconic flavors of a classic Big Mac burger—juicy seasoned ground beef, melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, onions, pickles, and a creamy homemade Big Mac sauce—wrapped in crispy flour tortillas for a fun and flavorful taco twist perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Beef Tacos

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 4 small flour tortillas
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • ½ cup sliced dill pickles

Big Mac Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a bowl, thoroughly mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, garlic powder, onion powder, and white vinegar. Refrigerate the sauce to allow flavors to meld while you prepare the tacos.
  2. Portion the Beef: Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions. Press each portion firmly onto the center of a flour tortilla, shaping it into a patty that matches the size of the tortilla.
  3. Cook the Beef Patties: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Place each tortilla with beef patty beef-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the beef is nicely browned on the bottom.
  4. Flip and Continue Cooking: Flip the tortilla and beef patty over and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until the beef is cooked through.
  5. Add Cheese: Top each cooked beef patty with a slice of American cheese, allowing it to melt slightly in the residual heat.
  6. Remove From Skillet: Carefully transfer the tortillas with beef and melted cheese from the skillet to a plate.
  7. Assemble the Tacos: Add shredded lettuce, diced onions, and sliced dill pickles on top of the cheesy beef layer. Drizzle generously with the prepared Big Mac sauce.
  8. Serve Immediately: Fold the tortillas to enclose the filling and serve immediately while warm and crispy.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease and keep tacos from being too oily.
  • For an extra crispy texture, toast the tortillas in the skillet before adding the beef.
  • Serve these Big Mac Tacos with classic sides like fries or potato wedges for a complete meal.
