Description

Tender, juicy beef tenderloin tips seared to golden perfection and served with a rich, tangy zip sauce made from butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and aromatic herbs. This quick stovetop recipe delivers a flavorful main course perfect for a hearty dinner.

Ingredients

Beef Tenderloin Tips

  • 700 g beef tenderloin tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Zip Sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef: Pat the beef tenderloin tips dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season evenly with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika to enhance the flavor.
  2. Sear the beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat until shimmering. Add the beef in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan, and sear for 2–3 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms.
  3. Add butter and garlic: During the last minute of searing, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir gently to infuse the beef tips with garlic flavor as the butter melts.
  4. Rest the beef: Remove the beef tips from the skillet and transfer to a plate. Allow them to rest briefly while you prepare the sauce, helping them retain their juiciness.
  5. Prepare the zip sauce: Reduce the skillet heat to low. Add butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, dried parsley, cayenne pepper, and black pepper to taste. Stir continuously until the butter melts completely and the sauce becomes smooth and well combined.
  6. Toss beef in sauce: Return the rested beef tips to the skillet and gently toss to coat them thoroughly with the zip sauce, ensuring every piece is flavorful.
  7. Serve immediately: Plate the beef tenderloin tips with your choice of sides such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or rice for a satisfying meal.

Notes

  • Avoid overcrowding the skillet to ensure the beef sears properly rather than steaming.
  • For the most tender tenderloin tips, avoid overcooking; aim for medium-rare to medium doneness.
  • Optional: Add sliced mushrooms or onions to the skillet for additional depth and flavor.
