Ingredients
Pasta
- 12 oz rotini pasta
Beef and Sauce
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Garnish
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Cook rotini according to package directions until al dente. Drain well and set aside to keep warm.
- Brown Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease if necessary.
- Cook Garlic: Stir in minced garlic into the beef and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Add Butter: Add butter to the skillet and allow it to melt completely to enrich the sauce base.
- Combine Dairy: Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring constantly to combine smoothly with the beef and butter mixture.
- Add Seasoning and Cheese: Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper thoroughly. Allow the sauce to come to a gentle simmer and cook for 3–5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Toss Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked rotini to the skillet and carefully toss until all the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the pasta for a pop of color and freshness. Serve immediately while hot and creamy.
Notes
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Freshly grated Parmesan provides the smoothest sauce and best texture.
