Description

This Beef and Rotini in Garlic Parmesan Sauce is a rich and comforting pasta dish featuring tender ground beef, perfectly cooked rotini, and a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. It’s an easy family dinner that’s ready in under an hour.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 oz rotini pasta

Beef and Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Garnish

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook rotini according to package directions until al dente. Drain well and set aside to keep warm.
  2. Brown Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease if necessary.
  3. Cook Garlic: Stir in minced garlic into the beef and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Add Butter: Add butter to the skillet and allow it to melt completely to enrich the sauce base.
  5. Combine Dairy: Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring constantly to combine smoothly with the beef and butter mixture.
  6. Add Seasoning and Cheese: Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper thoroughly. Allow the sauce to come to a gentle simmer and cook for 3–5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  7. Toss Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked rotini to the skillet and carefully toss until all the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the pasta for a pop of color and freshness. Serve immediately while hot and creamy.

Notes

  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan provides the smoothest sauce and best texture.
