Description
Watermelon Slushy is a refreshing treat made with fresh watermelon, ice, and a hint of sweetness. It’s a simple, hydrating, and delicious drink perfect for hot summer days, bringing a light and fruity flavor with every sip.
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed (seeds removed)
- 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional, for extra zing)
- Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut the watermelon into cubes, removing any seeds. For a colder slushy, freeze the watermelon cubes before blending (optional).
- In a blender, combine the watermelon cubes, ice, honey or agave syrup (if using), and lime juice (if using). Blend on high until smooth and slushy in texture. Add a little water if needed to help it blend.
- Taste the slushy and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more honey or lime juice as preferred.
- Pour the slushy into glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- If you prefer a thicker consistency, use frozen watermelon or add more ice.
- For a tropical twist, replace lime juice with fresh lemon or add a splash of coconut water.
- If you want to add some spice, a pinch of cayenne pepper or jalapeño can bring a kick to your slushy.
