Description

Strawberry Cream Cheese Dump Cake is a simple and indulgent dessert combining strawberries, cream cheese, and a buttery cake topping. It’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15.25 oz) box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling. Use the back of a spoon to gently spread the cream cheese mixture, but it’s okay if it doesn’t cover completely.
  5. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese and strawberry layers. Do not mix.
  6. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix to help the topping bake to a golden, crisp texture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
  8. Let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheating: Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, or warm the entire cake at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
  • For variations, swap the strawberry pie filling with other fruit fillings like blueberry, peach, or cherry.
  • For extra crunch, add chopped nuts on top before baking, or sprinkle with shredded coconut for a tropical twist.
