Description

A smoky twist on classic lasagna, this Smoked Brisket Lasagna layers tender, flavorful smoked brisket with creamy ricotta, melted mozzarella, and rich marinara sauce. Baked to bubbly perfection, it’s the ultimate comfort food combining smoky, cheesy, and savory flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Lasagna Base

  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked

Meat and Sauce

  • 3 cups smoked brisket, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Cheese

  • 2 cups mozzarella, shredded
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

Seasoning

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the lasagna.
  2. Assemble Layers: Start by spreading a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of your baking dish. Then layer cooked lasagna noodles, chopped smoked brisket, dollops of ricotta cheese, a generous amount of marinara sauce, and shredded mozzarella. Season each layer lightly with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Repeat Layers: Continue layering the noodles, brisket, ricotta, sauce, and mozzarella until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mozzarella on top for a golden, bubbly crust.
  4. Bake: Place the assembled lasagna in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown on top, and the lasagna is heated through.
  5. Rest and Serve: Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes after baking to set, then cut into portions and serve warm for a smoky, hearty meal.

Notes

  • Add BBQ sauce to the layers or on top for an extra sweet, smoky flavor boost.
  • For convenience, use no-boil lasagna noodles to save cooking time.
  • Ensure brisket is smoked and tender before chopping for optimal flavor and texture.
  • Season each layer lightly to balance the smoky and cheesy flavors.
