Ingredients
Noodles and Chicken
- 200 g soba noodles
- 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
Vegetables and Aromatics
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- Green onions for garnish
Sauces and Oils
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp oil (vegetable or canola oil recommended)
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Cook soba noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside to prevent overcooking.
- Sauté Aromatics: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute, careful not to burn them.
- Cook Cabbage: Add shredded cabbage to the pan and sauté until it softens slightly but still retains a bit of crunch, approximately 3-4 minutes.
- Add Chicken: Stir in the shredded cooked chicken to warm through with the cabbage for about 2 minutes.
- Toss Noodles and Sauce: Add the cooked soba noodles to the pan along with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Toss everything together thoroughly and cook briefly for 1-2 minutes to combine flavors.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve warm immediately.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for a quick and convenient protein option.
