Description

Sheet Pan Deconstructed Beef Kebabs are a simple and flavorful dish that brings together juicy beef, vibrant vegetables, and aromatic spices, all roasted on a single sheet pan for easy cleanup. It’s the perfect way to enjoy kebab flavors with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, sliced into wedges
  • 1 medium zucchini, sliced into half-moons
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the beef and vegetables: Cut the beef into 1-inch cubes and season with salt and pepper. Chop the bell peppers, slice the zucchini, and cut the onion into wedges.
  3. Season the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss the beef cubes and vegetables in the seasoning mixture until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Arrange on the sheet pan: Spread the seasoned beef and vegetables evenly across the sheet pan. Make sure the ingredients are in a single layer to ensure even cooking and caramelization.
  5. Roast in the oven: Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness and the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for a burst of freshness.

Notes

  • Add more vegetables: You can add more vegetables like cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, or eggplant to the sheet pan for added flavor and texture.
  • Use different meats: You can swap the beef for chicken, lamb, or shrimp for different flavor profiles.
  • Spicy version: For a spicy kick, add chili flakes, cayenne pepper, or sliced jalapeños to the seasoning mix.
  • Mediterranean twist: Add a few tablespoons of tzatziki or hummus on the side to make this dish feel more Mediterranean.
  • Herb variations: You can add fresh rosemary, thyme, or basil for a different herbal flavor.
