Description
These shawarma chicken and apple bites are a flavorful appetizer or party snack featuring spiced grilled chicken paired with crisp apple slices. The combination of smoky Middle Eastern spices and fresh sweetness makes them a unique, crowd-pleasing finger food.
Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts), cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp lemon juice

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp ground cumin

2 tsp ground paprika

1 tsp ground coriander

1 tsp ground turmeric

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

2 large crisp apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), cut into wedges

1/4 cup Greek yogurt (for dipping, optional)

Instructions

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and spices.

Add chicken pieces to the marinade, coating well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours).

Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred.

Arrange apple slices on a platter. Place one piece of grilled chicken on top of each slice and secure with a toothpick.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or mint and serve with Greek yogurt dipping sauce, if desired.

Can also be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes if grilling isn’t available.
