Delicate mini gougères filled with a tangy cream-cheese-dill mousse and silky smoked salmon — an impressive bite-sized canapé.
Ingredients
Choux pastry:
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ cup flour
- 2 eggs
- pinch salt
Filling:
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp chopped dill
- 4 oz smoked salmon
- black pepper
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 °F. Bring water & butter to boil; stir in flour + salt until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time; pipe 1-inch mounds.
- Bake 18–20 min until puffed & golden. Cool.
- Blend filling ingredients.
- Slice tops, fill buns, replace lids.
