This Savory Stuffed Turkey Roll is an elegant and flavorful dish featuring turkey breast rolled up with a savory stuffing of herbs, vegetables, and cheese. Perfect for holiday dinners, special occasions, or a delicious twist on your traditional roast turkey.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless turkey breast (butterflied)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably dry)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Kitchen twine (for rolling)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a roasting pan.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, thyme, sage, salt, pepper, cooked onion and garlic, chicken broth, and cream cheese. Stir until the mixture is evenly combined and moist.
- Lay the butterflied turkey breast flat on a clean surface. Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the top.
- Spread the breadcrumb stuffing mixture over the turkey, leaving about an inch around the edges.
- Roll the turkey breast tightly into a log, securing with kitchen twine at both ends and in the middle.
- Transfer the stuffed turkey roll to the prepared baking sheet or roasting pan.
- Roast for 45–55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
- You can make the stuffing ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
- For extra flavor, try adding sautéed spinach or mushrooms to the stuffing mixture.
