Description

This Savory Stuffed Turkey Roll is an elegant and flavorful dish featuring turkey breast rolled up with a savory stuffing of herbs, vegetables, and cheese. Perfect for holiday dinners, special occasions, or a delicious twist on your traditional roast turkey.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless turkey breast (butterflied)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably dry)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • Kitchen twine (for rolling)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a roasting pan.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, thyme, sage, salt, pepper, cooked onion and garlic, chicken broth, and cream cheese. Stir until the mixture is evenly combined and moist.
  4. Lay the butterflied turkey breast flat on a clean surface. Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the top.
  5. Spread the breadcrumb stuffing mixture over the turkey, leaving about an inch around the edges.
  6. Roll the turkey breast tightly into a log, securing with kitchen twine at both ends and in the middle.
  7. Transfer the stuffed turkey roll to the prepared baking sheet or roasting pan.
  8. Roast for 45–55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  10. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • You can make the stuffing ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • For extra flavor, try adding sautéed spinach or mushrooms to the stuffing mixture.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
