Description

Pizza Dough without Yeast is a quick and easy homemade dough made with simple pantry ingredients — perfect when you want pizza fast without waiting for dough to rise. This yeast-free dough delivers a soft and tender crust that bakes up golden and delicious, making it an ideal base for any pizza toppings you desire.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ¾ cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking your pizza dough.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt, whisking them together to evenly distribute the leavening agent and salt.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Stir in ¾ cup plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon olive oil (if using). Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough: Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for 2–3 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic, which will improve its texture.
  5. Roll out the dough: Roll the dough out to your desired thickness. Transfer it carefully onto a baking sheet prepared with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  6. Add toppings: Arrange your preferred pizza toppings evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  7. Bake the pizza: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust turns golden brown and the toppings are cooked through.

Notes

  • If the dough feels sticky, sprinkle in a little more flour while kneading to make it easier to handle.
  • For a crisper crust, pre-bake the rolled-out crust for 5 minutes before adding toppings and continuing to bake.
