This one-pan beef and potato bake is a hearty, family-friendly dinner made with layers of seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, and melted cheese. An easy comfort food recipe that’s baked to perfection with minimal cleanup.
Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried oregano

4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)

1 cup milk (or beef broth)

1/2 cup sour cream

2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Drain excess fat.

In a bowl, whisk together milk and sour cream until smooth.

Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Spread half of the beef mixture over the potatoes. Repeat layers.

Pour the milk mixture evenly over the top. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

Remove foil, sprinkle cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
