Description

Nutty Churro Bites with Nutella are bite-sized, golden-fried churros filled with creamy Nutella and coated in cinnamon sugar with a sprinkle of chopped nuts. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside, they are perfect for parties, desserts, or a decadent snack.

Ingredients

  • For the Churro Bites:
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • For Coating:
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • For Filling:
  • 1/2 cup Nutella, warmed slightly

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, 1 tablespoon sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and stir in flour until a ball forms. Let cool 5 minutes.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla extract. Dough should be thick but pipeable.
  3. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or large pot.
  4. Pipe 2-inch churro bites into hot oil using a piping bag with star tip; cut with scissors. Fry 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Toss warm churro bites in mixture, then roll in chopped nuts if desired.
  6. Fill each churro bite with Nutella using a small piping bag or sandwich bag with corner cut off.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy crispy, sweet, and nutty churro bites.

Notes

  • Drizzle melted chocolate over churro bites for extra decadence.
  • Substitute Nutella with peanut butter or almond butter for variation.
  • Pipe into mini cones and fill with Nutella or whipped cream for a fun twist.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne to cinnamon sugar for a spicy-sweet flavor.
