Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup sugar
Wet Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup milk
Filling
- ½ cup Nutella (warmed slightly)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until the mixture becomes light and fluffy, ensuring a smooth batter texture.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract for flavor depth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients and Milk: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients to maintain batter consistency.
- Layer Batter and Nutella: Pour half of the prepared batter into the loaf pan evenly. Spoon half of the warmed Nutella over the batter in dollops, then use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the Nutella through the batter, creating a marbled effect.
- Add Remaining Batter and Nutella: Spoon the remaining batter over the first layer, then add the rest of the Nutella dollops on top. Again, swirl the Nutella gently to create beautiful ribbons throughout the loaf.
- Bake the Bread: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55 to 60 minutes until the bread is golden on top and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
- Cool Before Slicing: Remove the loaf from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. This prevents the bread from crumbling when sliced.
Notes
- Warm Nutella slightly before using to make it easier to swirl through the batter.
- For a different twist, try substituting Nutella with peanut butter or biscoff spread.
- Line the loaf pan well to ensure easy removal and clean slicing.
- Allow bread to cool completely before slicing to maintain shape and texture.
