Ingredients
Ground Beef Sausage:
1 lb (450 g)
Puff Pastry:
1 sheet, thawed
Egg:
1, beaten (for egg wash)
Dijon Mustard:
1 teaspoon (optional)
Garlic Powder:
½ teaspoon
Onion Powder:
½ teaspoon
Dried Thyme:
½ teaspoon (or sage)
Salt and Pepper:
Pinch
Sesame Seeds or Poppy Seeds:

Instructions
- Preheat oven: to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix sausage meat: In a bowl, combine sausage with garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out puff pastry: into a rectangle. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard if using.
- Place sausage mixture: in a log along one long edge of the pastry. Roll pastry tightly around the sausage and seal the edge.
- Cut into pieces: 1½–2 inches and place seam-side down on baking sheet.
- Brush tops: with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
- Bake: for 18–22 minutes until pastry is golden brown and sausage is fully cooked.
- Serve: warm with ketchup, mustard, or dipping sauce.

- Can be made ahead and frozen before baking—just bake from frozen, adding 5 extra minutes.
