Description

A refreshing twist on classic iced tea featuring  black tea, fresh lemon juice, and a hint of smooth vanilla. Lightly sweetened and served over ice, this drink is perfect for summer afternoons or as a sophisticated non-alcoholic option for gatherings.


Ingredients

Water:

4 cups

Black Tea Bags:

4 bags (English Breakfast or Assam)

Sugar:

1/4 cup (or honey, to taste)

Vanilla Extract:

1 teaspoon (or 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped)

Lemon Juice:

1/4 cup (about 2 lemons)

Lemon Slices:

for garnish

Ice Cubes:

for serving


Instructions

  1. Boil Water: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep black tea bags for 4–5 minutes (longer for stronger tea).
  2. Add Sweetener: Remove tea bags and stir in sugar (or honey) until dissolved.
  3. Flavor and Chill: Add vanilla extract and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled (at least 1–2 hours).
  4. Serve: Serve over ice with lemon slices for garnish.
