Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a shallow bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, then dredge in the Parmesan mixture, pressing lightly to coat well.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer seared chicken to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes of baking.
