Description
Smoky grilled flank steak topped with a bright and fresh chimichurri sauce, creating a flavor-packed and satisfying main dish perfect for dinner.
Ingredients
Steak
- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Chimichurri Sauce
- ¼ cup parsley, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- Pinch of chili flakes
Instructions
- Prepare Chimichurri Sauce: In a blender or food processor, combine the parsley, garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and chili flakes. Blend until the ingredients are well combined but still slightly textured. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.
- Season the Steak: Drizzle the flank steak with olive oil and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Grill the Steak: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time to your desired doneness.
- Rest the Steak: Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Slice and Serve: Thinly slice the steak across the grain and serve topped with the chimichurri sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak in half of the chimichurri sauce for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
- Allow the chimichurri sauce to sit for at least 10 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
- If you prefer a spicier chimichurri, increase the chili flakes to taste.
