Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C). Lightly oil the grates.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, Dijon mustard, olive oil, vinegar, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
-
Place chicken in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour half the marinade over it. Reserve the other half for basting. Marinate for at least 20 minutes (up to 2 hours).
-
Grill chicken for 6–8 minutes per side, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from grill, let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
-
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
-
Pairs well with grilled vegetables, potato salad, or corn on the cob.
- Can be cooked on a stovetop grill pan if outdoor grilling isn’t available.
