This easy-to-make recipe is perfect for a party appetizer or a savory side dish for any meal. Soft, flavorful, and fun to share, it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser.”

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread (or your favorite soft bread)

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Optional: 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Slice the loaf of bread into 1-inch wide sections, but do not cut all the way through the bottom to keep the bread intact.

  • In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  • Carefully drizzle the garlic butter mixture between the slices of bread, ensuring each section is coated.

  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly between the slices, followed by the chopped parsley.

  • Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the butter is melted and the bread is warm.

  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to allow the bread to crisp up slightly.

  • Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy!

Notes

  • For a stronger garlic flavor, you can add more garlic to the butter mixture.

  • You can substitute the Parmesan with other cheeses like mozzarella for a gooey texture.

  • This bread can be made ahead and stored in the fridge, then reheated in the oven.

  • Add extra herbs like oregano or thyme for additional flavor!
