Ingredients
Steak
- 1½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Garlic Butter Sauce & Seasoning
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Vegetables
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup zucchini slices
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the Steak: Pat steak bites dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper to enhance flavor and ensure a good sear.
- Heat the Skillet: Warm 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, preparing it for searing the steak.
- Sear the Steak: Place steak cubes in a single layer in the hot skillet and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, until browned and caramelized. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary. Remove the cooked steak and set aside.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Sauce: Reduce heat to medium, add 3 tablespoons unsalted butter to the skillet. Stir in minced garlic, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon paprika, and optional ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Sauté the Vegetables: Add broccoli florets, zucchini slices, and chopped red bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp, absorbing the garlic butter flavors.
- Combine Steak and Veggies: Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss everything together to coat the steak and vegetables evenly with the garlic butter sauce. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until the steak is heated through.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the dish for a fresh note and visual appeal. Serve immediately for best taste.
Notes
- Use sirloin, ribeye, or strip steak for best texture and flavor.
- Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure proper searing; cook steak in batches if needed.
- Swap vegetables with green beans, mushrooms, or asparagus based on preference or seasonality.
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or cauliflower rice for a complete meal.
