Description

Garlic Butter Steak Bites are a quick and easy dinner option, packed with tender steak pieces seared to perfection and coated in a rich, savory garlic butter sauce. Perfect for a weeknight meal or an appetizer, these juicy steak bites are sure to satisfy your cravings and are ready in under 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or dried thyme

  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak:

    • Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.

  • Sear the Steak:

    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak cubes in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan).

    • Cook the steak bites for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked to your desired level of doneness (medium-rare, medium, etc.). Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.

  • Make the Garlic Butter:

    • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and thyme. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic becomes fragrant and golden brown.

  • Combine:

    • Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce, making sure the steak pieces are well coated. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat the steak through.

  • Serve:

  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes (if using). Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the garlic butter.

  • If you want a richer flavor, feel free to add more butter, depending on your preference.

  • These garlic butter steak bites are perfect on their own or served with sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.

  • You can also add sautéed mushrooms or onions to the garlic butter for an extra touch.
