Ingredients
Meatballs and Gravy
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen meatballs
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
Topping
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Instructions
- Prepare onions and butter: Add sliced onions and butter to the crockpot, spreading evenly to form the base of the dish.
- Add meatballs: Place the frozen meatballs on top of the onions and butter layer in the crockpot.
- Mix broth and soup mix: In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth and the onion soup mix until well combined.
- Pour mixture over meatballs: Pour the broth and soup mix evenly over the meatballs in the crockpot.
- Slow cook: Cover and cook on Low for 6 hours or on High for 3 hours, allowing the meatballs to absorb the rich flavors and become tender.
- Add cheese and melt: Stir the meatballs and onion mixture gently, then sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese over the top. Cover and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
