Description

These Flavorful Beef Kofta Kebabs are a Middle-Eastern-inspired dish featuring ground beef mixed with aromatic spices like cumin and garlic, enhanced with fresh parsley. Perfectly grilled or broiled to juicy perfection, these kebabs make a delicious, protein-rich meal that pairs wonderfully with yogurt sauce or flatbread.

Ingredients

Beef Kofta Kebabs

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with cumin, garlic powder, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the Kebabs: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a long oval or cylindrical form around skewers, ensuring they are compact to hold together during cooking.
  3. Cook the Kebabs: Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill or under the broiler and cook for 8–10 minutes, turning once halfway through to ensure even cooking and browning on all sides.
  4. Serve: Once cooked through and nicely charred, remove the kebabs from heat. Serve hot alongside yogurt sauce or warm flatbread for a traditional Middle Eastern experience.

Notes

  • For additional flavor, marinate the beef mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before shaping.
  • Always soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes prior to grilling to prevent burning.
  • Yogurt sauce complements these kebabs beautifully, adding a cool, creamy contrast.
  • These kebabs can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to one day before cooking.
