A quick and satisfying taco rice bowl loaded with seasoned ground beef or chicken, rice, beans, corn, and fresh toppings, delivering all the classic taco flavors in an easy-to-make bowl.

Ingredients

Base

  • 1 cup cooked rice

Protein

  • 1 lb ground beef or chicken

Vegetables & Beans

  • ½ cup black beans
  • ½ cup corn
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes

Toppings

  • ½ cup shredded cheese
  • Lettuce, for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook the meat: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef or chicken. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  2. Add seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning packet along with a splash of water to help distribute the spices evenly. Cook for another 2 minutes to blend the flavors.
  3. Add beans and corn: Mix in the black beans and corn to the meat mixture and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until heated through.
  4. Assemble the bowl: In each serving bowl, layer the cooked rice first, then top with the seasoned meat, beans, and corn mixture. Add diced tomatoes and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  5. Add toppings and serve: Garnish with fresh shredded lettuce, salsa, and a dollop of sour cream. Serve the bowls warm for a delicious taco-inspired meal.
