Description

Easy Quiche is a simple, creamy egg dish baked in a flaky crust and customizable with your favorite vegetables, meats, or cheeses. This versatile recipe makes a delicious breakfast or brunch option that’s quick to prepare and satisfying.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 pre-made pie crust

Filling

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère)
  • ½ cup cooked bacon or ham (optional)
  • ½ cup diced vegetables (spinach, onion, bell pepper)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for even baking.
  2. Prepare Crust: Place the pre-made pie crust into a standard pie dish, pressing it gently to fit the edges without tearing.
  3. Mix Egg Base: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the 4 large eggs, 1 cup of heavy cream or milk, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon black pepper until fully combined and slightly frothy.
  4. Add Fillings: Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheese and your chosen fillings such as cooked bacon or ham and diced vegetables into the pie crust to distribute flavors well.
  5. Pour Egg Mixture: Carefully pour the whisked egg and cream mixture over the fillings in the crust, making sure it fills the gaps but does not overflow.
  6. Bake: Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the quiche from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before slicing into 6 pieces to serve.
