Ingredients
- 1 ripe dragon fruit (pitaya), peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
- 2–3 tablespoons honey, agave syrup, or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water or sparkling water (for a fizzy version)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the dragon fruit in half, scoop out the flesh, and chop it into smaller pieces. Place the dragon fruit chunks in a blender or food processor.
- Blend the dragon fruit until smooth. Optionally, strain the pulp through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds.
- In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sweetener (honey, agave, or sugar). Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
- Add the blended dragon fruit puree and 4 cups of cold water (or sparkling water for a fizzy twist). Stir everything together to combine.
- Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sweetener if needed. Add more water for a thinner consistency if desired.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the dragon fruit lemonade over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for extra color and flavor.
