Description

Mini Sausage Stuffing Cups are a fun and flavorful twist on classic stuffing. Made in a muffin tin, these bite-sized cups combine savory sausage, bread, herbs, and veggies into the ultimate holiday appetizer or side dish.


Ingredients

Ground Sausage:

  • 1 lb mild or spicy ground sausage

Vegetables:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Herbs and Seasonings:

  • 1 teaspoon dried sage (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Bread and Liquid:

  • 4 cups cubed day-old bread (white or sourdough)
  • 1 ½ cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Cook Sausage: Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Transfer to a bowl.
  3. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, sauté onion and celery until softened. Add garlic, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add vegetables to sausage, mix in bread cubes. Pour in broth, add beaten egg and parsley.
  5. Fill Muffin Tin: Scoop stuffing mixture into muffin tin, press gently to compact.
  6. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve: Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
