Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Bites are a festive and irresistible appetizer featuring flaky puff pastry, creamy brie, and sweet-tart cranberry sauce. They’re quick to make, crowd-pleasing, and perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Puff Pastry:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Brie Cheese:
- 8 oz brie cheese, cut into small cubes
Cranberry Sauce:
- ½ cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Egg Wash:
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Optional Drizzle:
- 1 tablespoon honey
Optional Garnish:
- Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a mini muffin tin.
- Roll out thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 12 squares.
- Press each puff pastry square into a muffin tin well.
- Place a cube of brie in each pastry cup.
- Top with 1 teaspoon cranberry sauce.
- Beat the egg and lightly brush pastry edges with egg wash.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from oven, cool slightly, then drizzle with honey and garnish with rosemary if desired.
Notes
- You can use leftover Thanksgiving cranberry sauce for this recipe.
- Substitute fig jam, raspberry preserves, or apricot jam for a different flavor.
- Best served warm, but can be reheated in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes.
