Description

This Delicious Crab Salad combines sweet, tender crab meat with crisp vegetables and a creamy dressing for a light, refreshing, and flavorful dish that’s perfect as a lunch, appetizer, or side.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation crab)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional, but recommended)
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. If using fresh crab, ensure it is cooked and flaked into bite-sized pieces. If using canned or imitation crab, shred it into smaller pieces with a fork.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning (if using). Season with salt and pepper, and mix until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, diced celery, red bell pepper, and green onions. Gently toss to combine.
  4. Pour the dressing over the crab mixture and toss gently until the crab is evenly coated with the creamy dressing.
  5. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve chilled.
