Description

The Cucumber Citrus Cooler is a refreshing, fruity drink with a vibrant blend of apple, orange, and lemon juices, perfectly complemented by fresh cucumber, strawberries, and a hint of elderflower. Light, cooling, and deliciously crisp, this drink is ideal for warm days, picnics, or a refreshing afternoon treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz apple juice
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 2 strawberries, sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • 1 oz elderflower cordial (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit and Veggies: Slice the cucumber, strawberries, and orange. Set aside some mint leaves for garnish.
  2. Mix the Juices: In a large pitcher, combine the apple juice, orange juice, and lemon juice. Stir well.
  3. Add the Fruit and Cucumber: Add the cucumber slices, strawberry slices, and orange slices to the pitcher. Gently stir to mix the ingredients together.
  4. Optional Elderflower Cordial: If using, add the elderflower cordial to the pitcher and stir gently.
  5. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mixture over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a burst of aroma and color.
  6. Chill and Enjoy: For an extra refreshing touch, chill the drink in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Sparkling Version: Replace some of the juices with sparkling water or club soda for a fizzy twist.
  • Herb Infusion: Add fresh basil or rosemary for a more aromatic flavor.
  • Berry Twist: Add other berries like raspberries or blackberries for a sweeter, fruitier variation.
  • No Elderflower: If you don’t have elderflower cordial, the drink is still wonderfully refreshing without it.
