Description

Tender, juicy shredded beef slow-cooked to perfection, ideal for tacos, sandwiches, or meal prepping. This easy crockpot recipe offers a flavorful, fuss-free way to enjoy a versatile beef dish with minimal ingredients and effort.

Ingredients

Beef

  • 3 lbs chuck roast

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Liquids

  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Season the roast: Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker and evenly season it with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste, ensuring the flavors penetrate the meat.
  2. Add broth and cook: Pour 1 cup of beef broth over the roast, then cover the slow cooker with its lid. Set to LOW and cook for 8 to 10 hours, or alternatively on HIGH for 5 to 6 hours, until the beef is tender enough to shred easily.
  3. Shred the beef: Once cooked, remove the roast and use two forks to shred the meat into bite-sized pieces. Return to the slow cooker juices if desired or serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra flavor dimension, add salsa or taco seasoning along with the broth before cooking.
  • This shredded beef freezes well, making it perfect for batch cooking and meal prep.
