Description
Crispy Cheese Balls are a savory, easy-to-make appetizer or snack that combines gooey melted cheese and crispy panko breadcrumbs. They’re perfect for parties or a fun at-home treat!
Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and panko breadcrumbs. Mix well.
- Crack the eggs into the bowl and beat them lightly with a fork. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything together until well combined and the mixture holds together.
- Take a small amount of the mixture (about a tablespoon) and roll it into a ball using your hands. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese balls are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley (optional) for extra flavor and color. Serve warm with marinara sauce, ranch, or garlic butter.
Notes
- For a spicy twist, add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños to the mixture.
- Mix in fresh herbs like basil, thyme, or oregano for a herbed version.
- Serve with a variety of dipping sauces, like marinara or ranch, for added flavor.
